Job Description Summary:

The North America Director of Print Quality Technology will establish and scale color standards across the printer network for all packaging substrates. The role will partner closely with suppliers and internal teams to monitor performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement. A key initiative will be to implement and scale the color management system. This role protects the world’s most valuable visual identities by ensuring every can, bottle and package across, North America, meets or exceed print quality standards.

This position is based in Atlanta with in-office collaboration Tuesday-Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Brand packaging concept development to achieve design intent and harmonization across substrates (metal, paper, plastic, films, glass, etc.) and print processes.
  • Develop, communicate and distribute written guidelines, standards and reference tools regarding printed packaging materials detailing the Company’s expectations to all NAOU suppliers, vendors and agencies. (Color Management Program, Packaging Specification Manual and Brand Profiles). On board and educate new suppliers on print quality program.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with key printers, prepress and packaging suppliers; monitor print quality utilizing Xrite / ColorCert dashboards and scoring.
  • Manage and ensure compliance of standards and guidelines across NAOU graphic services providers and print supply chain.
  • Monitor print quality and identify non-compliant packages or suppliers; conduct audits, oversee and follow up to ensure adequate corrective action and issue resolution.
  • Establish strong relationships and work effectively with suppliers, customers, bottlers and printing industry.
  • Establish relationships and work effectively with internal individuals/departments to meet commitments effectively and efficiently.
  • Evaluate and deploy emerging print technologies in partnership with Global Research & GDI.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in related area of study as well as global packaging or color management experience
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in the packaging prepress and printing industry working with significant CPG brands and their supply chains.
  • Direct experience establishing new workflows in color management ColorCert or similar programs to measure and monitor color and package standards.
  • Thorough understanding of design to print process and packaging commercialization.
  • Superior expertise in print and graphics technologies for metal deco, offset, flexography, gravure, digital printing and prepress.
  • Expert knowledge in color science and color theory applications, inks and substrates.

Pay Range:

$169,000 - $200,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
