The Director, US Prepaid Go-to-Market Lead will drive the sales and marketing strategy for the prepaid product. This role requires a leader with experience in go-to-market strategy and execution at a senior level and deep knowledge of prepaid cards and/ or banking products.
This leader will drive US prepaid sales and customer engagement – for both retail and digital channels. They will partner across the organization to develop lifecycle marketing strategies, pricing promotions and drive customer experience enhancements. This role will lead cross-functional alignment and serve as the primary advocate for the US prepaid card. This role requires strong leadership, operational rigor, and a focus on driving results. The Director will collaborate on marketing initiatives, guide campaign strategy, and leverage market insights to inform future growth opportunities.
Role Responsibilities
Lead the go-to-market strategy, revenue plan, and growth delivery for US Prepaid.
Partner with North America Sales to drive retail acquisitions for US Prepaid. This includes developing sales materials, sales campaigns and promotions and driving pipeline development.
Actively engage with sales teams and agents to help drive product sales. Create tools, training and collaterals to support sales teams and drive adoption.
Drive digital acquisitions for prepaid cards. Actively manage funnel performance, and partner with marketing, risk and product teams to optimize performance of digital channels (e.g., placements, approval rates).
Develop and execute strategies to drive repeat usage and retention, including pricing promotions, marketing campaigns, and influencing product experience.
Lead performance measurement by defining KPIs, monitoring results and optimizing go-to-market plans based on data insights.
Manage value proposition and product positioning. Drive initiatives to enhance product construct to remain market competitive
Manage overall financial outcomes/results for US Prepaid.
Work cross-functionally with leaders from platform, product and technology, legal, compliance, agent network, partnerships, and others to enable products that are competitive in the market.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to influence product innovation, customer experience enhancements, and marketing strategies.
Deliver a seamless customer experience and meaningfully contribute to overall Western Union results.
Role Requirements
10+ years of experience in general management, business strategy, or marketing roles, ideally within financial services or payments, prepaid experience required
Proven track record in go-to-market strategy and execution at a senior level
Capable of defining a strategic approach/roadmap for Prepaid
Ability to define and deliver revenue and expense plans for Prepaid Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving measurable business outcomes.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in pricing, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
Deep understanding of prepaid card ecosystems (e.g., issuers, processors, compliance)
Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational levels and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing and digital customer experiences
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to lead through ambiguity and prioritize competing demands
Customer-centric mindset with a strong analytical foundation
Manage and deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously

Salary
The base salary range is $185,000 - $205,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus a variable target incentive that aligns with individual and company performance.
