Job Summary:
Responsible for oversight of operations, fiscal management and regulatory compliance specific to patient registration. Works collaboratively with all affiliates, medical staff and other leaders across the revenue cycle, legal and compliance teams to enhance the consumer and employee experience and denial prevention. Drives strategic planning and performance improvement activities to address compliance and regulatory requirements and changes in payer medical policies and identifies new and emerging approaches to the business processes.Responsibilities:
Manage hospital and hospital-based clinic registration processes to ensure accuracy in patient registration and compliance with regulatory requirements. (50%)
Coordinate with all appropriate departments within the hospital to ensure completion and accuracy of registration process, especially UR/Case Management, Financial Counseling and emergency clinical care delivery. (25%)
Develop operational procedures related to pre-registration, registration and point of service collections. (15%)
Responsible for point of service activities. (10%)

Full time, Mon - Fri, evening and weekend hours as needed
Job Description:
Education
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in hospital/health care administration and/or revenue cycle required.
At least 10 years of progressive management experience working with multi-disciplinary groups required.
Recent experience in an acute and/or post acute care provider setting, multi-hospital system, or large multi-specialty physician group setting is required.
License/Certifications

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Knowledge of healthcare delivery, business growth and strategies and standard finance/budget practices.
Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding registration.
Knowledge of payor authorization requirements. Must be a self-starter, and able to effectively deal with uncertainty and complex situations.
Ability to enforce governmental and organizational standards, rules and regulations and initiate enforcement or corrective action to meet requirements.
Ability to identify, analyze and effectively address complex issues.
Ability to establish positive working relationship with a variety of departments/individuals and promote collaboration.
Ability to identify opportunities and commit to the continuous improvement of services.
Ability to build and maintain customer satisfaction through collaboration, communication and consistent service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, report writer applications and Cerner or a complex electronic medical record system.
