We are seeking a Director of Web Strategy to lead the development and execution of comprehensive digital web strategies that drive user engagement, optimize customer experience, and achieve business objectives for the Tableau and Analytics business (including CRMA) at Salesforce. This role combines analytical thinking with creative problem-solving to enhance our web presence and digital customer journey. The role will oversee the broad analytics category at Salesforce, bringing a unifying strategy for Tableau.com and Salesforce.com analytics web pages.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement comprehensive website strategy focused on unifying a holistic web strategy for Tableau.com and Salesforce.com that is aligned with business goals and user needs
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and best practices to elevate the Tableau web footprint across Tableau and Salesforce.
Create strategic roadmaps for website optimization and digital experience enhancement, including working across our technology and product teams.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align web strategy with broader marketing and business initiatives
User Experience & Optimization
Work closely with in-house UX teams to analyze user behavior, website analytics, and conversion data to identify optimization opportunities
Partner with our optimization teams to create optimization roadmaps and lead A/B testing and user experience research to improve site performance
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to enhance website usability and customer journey
Develop content strategy and information architecture recommendations
Performance & Analytics
Monitor and report on key website metrics including traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI
Utilize analytics tools (Google Analytics, heatmapping tools, etc.) to drive data-driven decisions
Create comprehensive performance dashboards and regular reporting for stakeholders
Identify trends and insights to inform future strategic decisions
Project Management & Collaboration
Lead website projects from conception to launch, managing timelines and deliverables
Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, and design teams, while also knowledge sharing across Salesforce’s digital web strategists
Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors as needed
Communicate strategy and results to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
7-10+ years of experience in digital marketing, web strategy, or related roles
Strong analytical skills with experience using web analytics platforms
Understanding of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project management experience with ability to manage multiple initiatives
Preferred:
Experience with content management systems and web technologies
Knowledge of UX/UI design principles
Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms
Experience in B2B or enterprise technology environments
Google Analytics and related certifications
