Ingenio

Director of User Acquisition

Ingenio | San Francisco Full Time

Before we get started:
Here at Ingenio, we'd love to talk with you regardless of your qualifications or years of experience. If you believe you’d be a great fit for this role, we invite you to apply even if you do not meet all points on the job description.

Who we are:
Ingenio is a global media and technology company developing products that provide guidance on love, relationships, careers, and all aspects of life. We are passionate about connecting people with the world’s best advisors and content to empower everyone to live happier lives.

Ingenio offers the world’s largest portfolio of over 20 marketplace and media brands in the spiritual and emotional wellness space. Our flagship brands include Keen, Horoscope.com, Astrology.com, Purple Garden, Kasamba, and Kang.

How you’ll be impactful:
As the Director of User Acquisition for Keen, you will be the primary architect of growth for our most iconic flagship brand. You will be impactful by steering a high-velocity acquisition engine that connects millions of people with the world’s best spiritual advisors across web and mobile platforms. By blending "player/coach" leadership with an AI-forward approach to Search and Paid Social, you will directly scale Keen’s market leadership and empower more people to find the guidance they need.

Please note: This role will require being in our SF office at least 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Architect Keen’s Growth Engine: Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for a multi-million dollar monthly budget. You’ll optimize a sophisticated mix of Google Search, Meta, TikTok, and Apple Search Ads, while aggressively testing emerging and experimental channels to find our next big win.
  • Drive Mobile & Web Synergy: Optimize the user journey across both the Keen web experience and our mobile app, navigating the complexities of cross-platform attribution and post-IDFA tracking.
  • Lead as a "Working Lead": Transition effortlessly between high-level vision and "hands-on-keyboard" execution. You’ll audit account structures, launch high-stakes campaigns, and ensure technical excellence by staying close to the data.
  • Drive Measurable Efficiency: Move the needle on Keen’s bottom line by delivering consistent improvements in CAC and LTV/CAC ratios. You will foster a culture of "test and learn," overseeing rigorous A/B testing across creative assets, landing pages, and audience segmentation.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to Finance and Product teams. You will provide the executive suite with high-clarity, data-backed insights into unit economics, ensuring our UA spend is always fueling long-term, sustainable growth.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Experience: 8+ years in performance marketing, specifically within high-volume B2C marketplaces, with a proven track record of managing $1M+ monthly spend.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field preferred.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep, "under-the-hood" expertise in Google Ads (SEM) and Paid Social (Meta/TikTok), along with experience using MMPs like AppsFlyer or Adjust.
  • The "Player/Coach" DNA: You don't wait for a playbook—you write it. You are a major self-starter who is as comfortable building a complex spreadsheet as you are presenting a 12-month growth roadmap to leadership.
  • AI-Forward Mindset: You actively use AI tools to automate workflows, optimize creative production, or analyze large datasets to gain a competitive edge.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Opportunity to work alongside a friendly, talented, and highly collaborative team
  • Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous holiday and PTO policies (including Birthday PTO!)
  • Summer Fridays
  • Technology stipend
  • 401k matching program
