What you will do
Build and lead Strategic Finance as a core driver of ESET’s growth agenda
Lead scenario analyses for product expansion, new market entry, and strategic pivots
Own financial analyses behind major capital allocation decisions
Lead end-to-end M&A execution: screening, valuation, due diligence, structuring
Translate market, technology, and competitive signals into clear financial insights
Form and defend investment theses based on market, competitor, customer, and technology trends
Challenge assumptions behind growth plans and strategic initiatives
Monitor public and private markets, IPO trends, venture funding, and cybersecurity M&A activity
Build and maintain financial models supporting strategic investments and new business opportunities
Push cross-functional teams toward decisions and execution (Business, Technology, Finance, Legal, etc.)
Represent ESET in financial discussions and negotiations with targets, advisors, and partners
Support post-merger integration planning and performance tracking
Help shape long-term scenarios around capital structure and value creation
Deliver clear, decision-oriented materials for executive leadership and the Board
Act as a trusted sparring partner to the CEO and CFO on long-term value creation and growth strategy

Experience & qualifications
Required
Relevant experience in Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or similar roles
Hands-on experience with M&A or investment transactions
Strong analytical skills combined with sound judgment
Solid understanding of financial markets, deal structures, and capital allocation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English
Nice to have
Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology
Exposure to due diligence, integration planning, or investor communication
MBA, CFA, or similar qualification
Compensation
Basic wage component (brutto): from 8 000 EUR
* Financial bonus based on performance paid twice a year up to 40% from the base salary paid during the evaluation period (usually 6 months).
* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
