About you
As the Director of Security will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security programs to protect all personnel, tenants, visitors, and assets for our Client within 1.4M square feet of Class A office space. This includes managing sophisticated electronic security systems through a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC), leading and mentoring a team of security professionals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a strategic advisor on risk management to executive leadership and property management.
In this role, you will:
Develop and implement overall security strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the daily operations of the SOC, ensuring effective 24/7 monitoring, incident detection, analysis, and coordinated response to physical security, safety, and business continuity events using advanced security technologies (e.g., access control, video surveillance, alarm monitoring, and crisis communication tools).
Possess strong Leadership Skills.
Manage a diverse team of security staff, contract security services, and potentially specialized analysts. This includes hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
Conduct regular risk assessments, security audits, and vulnerability testing to identify potential threats to the facility, making recommendations for mitigation and corrective actions.
Develop and maintain robust incident response, emergency action, and business continuity plans. Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency responders during incidents and drills.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of electronic security systems (e.g., access control, video surveillance, alarm monitoring, and crisis communication tools). Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering and IT teams.
Compile, review, and manage the security budget, track costs, and oversee third-party vendors and contractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and service delivery standards.
Act as a primary liaison between the Client, security personnel, tenants, contract service providers, and senior management to ensure alignment and effective communication on security matters.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelors Degree or 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role - with a commercial real estate background.
3 - 5 years experience in a corporate security management, property management, or law enforcement/Military environment, with significant experience in a security operations center or control center setting.
CPP Certification preferred (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
BSIS Qualified Manager Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Experience with CCURE 9000 is highly desirable

Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $101,850 - $115,000
Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all national locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
