Scope of Position: 

The Sr. Director of Product Management leads Bradley’s activities associated with managing all product lines from conceptual stages through end-of-life cycle to optimizing profit, sales and brand objectives. The Sr. Director is responsible for overseeing the product development process, ensuring alignment with the business goals and driving innovation 

This role requires a holistic understanding of the product ecosystem, leveraging market insights, and customer feedback to drive innovation and enhancements. The Senior Director makes decisions that significantly impact the organization aligning product initiatives with the broader business strategy  

This position is responsible for the supervisor of the Product Management team. 

This position reports directly to the VP and General Manager of Bradley and is based out of our Menomonee Fall’s location in Wisconsin.  

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Accountable for product lines or division that yields approximately $200M+ in revenue and it’s profitability 

  • Determine and manage financial P&L objectives, ROI opportunity analysis, and new product forecasts. 

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with overall business goals 

  • Lead product strategy and manage product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of differentiated high quality products  

  • Lead divisional innovation planning and expert understanding of the new product stage gate process. 

  • Collaborate across departments to define and prioritize product features.  

  • Lead the discovery of new growth opportunities and interpret customer needs into successful product strategies. 

  • Research and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities and validate product directions and competitive positioning 

  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure the product aligns with industry standards and customer expectations. 

  • Lead the Product Management department including mentoring and fostering the growth of junior team members to cultivate talent within the organization 

  • Coach and support staff to enhance job satisfaction and productivity 

  • Lead corporate cross functional teams and department staff.   

  • Balance short-term objectives and long-term vision to ensure immediate product needs do not overshadow the overarching goals of the company. 

  • Key corporate contact for VIP customer relationships. 

  • Other related duties and projects as required. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally leading product management, sales, marketing, engineering and/or business operations in the plumbing or manufacturing industry. 

  • Experience driving innovation and launching new products in highly competitive markets. 

  • Experience within the plumbing, safety or water industry is preferred. 

  • Strong understanding of market segmentation, customer needs, and competitive intelligence in the plumbing and safety space. 

  • P&L Management experience and strategic execution 

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams, particularly with sales, product management, engineering and operations 

  • Demonstrated success in leading teams through the development and implementation of growth and profitability strategies, with a focus on business integration, product marketing, engineering and value selling. 

  • Strong influencing skills and ability to manage teams, both onsite and virtually across several locations. 

  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on team building and collaboration.

Working Conditions:  

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Bradley location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. 

 

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods. 

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods. 

  • Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials. 

  • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. 

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. 

  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
