Position Overview

We’re seeking a Director of Product Management, Data who is responsible for defining and delivering Autodesk’s product data strategy as a portfolio of scalable, trusted data products. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven product decisions, accelerate innovation in and with data, and support Autodesk’s long-term growth strategy.

You’ll work with teammates across the globe and will travel up to 15% of the time for face-to-face meetings like conferences, team offsites, and team visits. We prefer for this role to be hybrid to our San Francisco office. If not in the Bay Area, the travel could be up to 20% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the enterprise Product Data Strategy aligned with Autodesk’s product, platform, and AI roadmap

  • Translate business and product strategy into clearly defined data products and metrics

  •  Own the product data narrative for executive business reviews (EBRs) and customer-facing strategy sessions

  • Shape how Autodesk measures and communicates customer value realization across its product portfolio

  • Partner with Customer Success, Marketing and Sales to define data-driven playbooks that improve adoption, renewal, and expansion

  • Attract, scale, and retain a team of high performing team of Product Managers to land impact across a geographically disperse team of internal partners and stakeholders

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to embed AI/ML (e.g., predictive scoring, intelligent routing, generative content, churn prediction) across the customer journey

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (DPI, Data Science, etc.) to align on goals and requirements

  • Own end-to-end delivery of product data products, including:

    • Product usage and telemetry data

    • Account, contact, entitlement, sales and product lifecycle data

    • Product performance, adoption, and customer engagement metrics

  • Drive roadmap prioritization based on business impact, scalability, and reuse

  • Enable product, engineering, and GTM teams with trusted data to drive product planning, experimentation, monetization, and retention

  • Support AI and advanced analytics initiatives by ensuring high-quality, well-governed training and feature data

  • Improve time-to-insight and reduce fragmentation in product metrics across Autodesk

  • Establish data quality, freshness, and observability standards for product data

  • Drive continuous improvement in data reliability, performance, and usability

  •  Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and data-as-a-product thinking

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience with data and data related products

  • 3+ year of experience in data product management leadership positions either directly or via relevant consulting work

  • Experience scaling and retaining high functioning product management teams

  • Strong working knowledge of platforms such Snowflake, PowerBI ,etc.

  • Proven ability to define and execute cross-functional data product strategies at scale

  • Experience working with technical teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills

  • Ability to think strategically while managing tactical details in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in B2B SaaS or enterprise tech

  • Experience with revenue operations or GTM systems teams

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product discovery frameworks (e.g., JTBD, dual-track agile)

  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills (Tableau, Looker, or similar)

  • Consulting background

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $180,000 and $321,860. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
