Our core strategy focuses on empowering customers to switch to N26 as their primary account. By embedding financial tools that are reliable and resilient, we ensure N26 is an essential part of everyday life. To lead this, we need a Director of Paid Media who understands how to communicate the value of a top-of-wallet banking experience.

About the role

We are looking for a mature, visionary leader who understands that Paid Media is the most visible expression of our brand’s promise. You are a generalist by nature who understands that a great ad cannot fix a poor user experience, and a great product cannot grow without creative, high-integrity storytelling.

In this role, you will guide our global media strategy to hit ambitious targets while cultivating a brand rooted in trust. You will bridge the gap between analytical execution and creative resonance by harmonizing rigorous, data-driven optimization with high-impact storytelling to convert prospects into long-term primary account users.

Based in Berlin or Barcelona. Reporting into our Chief Growth Officer 

Your impact 

  • Empowering High-Performing Teams: You will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team. Your focus is on moving away from platform silos toward a culture of collective marketing excellence, where every specialist feels empowered and understands how their work supports the N26 ecosystem.

  • Strategic Maturity: You will champion a sophisticated approach to measurement that looks beyond immediate clicks. By utilizing Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Incrementality, you will value long-term brand health and customer loyalty. These insights will be driven by the dedicated work of our Data team.

  • The Technical Translation: You possess the unique ability to take "technical" banking concepts, security protocols, licensing, and complex financial features,and work with Creative teams to turn them into simple, human, and trust-building messages

  • Cross-Collaboration: You are the connective tissue between Product,Strategy, Operations, Data and Creative. You navigate complex stakeholder landscapes with high EQ, ensuring that our paid media strategy is aligned with our technical roadmap and regulatory requirements.

  • 12+ Years of Marketing Breadth: A holistic understanding of the marketing funnel, with a mastery of Paid Media execution

  • Inclusive Leadership: You prioritize the growth of your people as much as the growth of the business. You are a coach who clears roadblocks, fosters psychological safety, and ensures that diverse voices are heard and empowered at every level of the decision-making process.

  • The Technical Translation: You possess the unique ability to take technical banking concepts, security protocols, and complex financial features and work with Creative teams to turn them into simple, human, and trust-building messages

  • Ambitious Vision for Paid Media: You are driven to go beyond industry standards. You want to define the gold standard for how a modern financial brand utilizes paid channels to become the most trusted bank on the planet.
