POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference institution, is seeking a Director of Operations for the Baseball program. This position operates under the general supervision of the Head Coach and is a non-coaching role responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the Baseball program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for player development data analytics along with R and D.

  • Oversee and continue to build dashboards for player development process, recruiting, roster management and scholarship budget.

  • Assist with film breakdown and technology operations.

  • Assist with management of program budget in collaboration with the Head Coach.

  • Coordinate team academic schedules and class accommodations.

  • Collaborate with the equipment manager on team apparel, gear, and equipment needs.

  • Coordinate visiting team logistics, including practice schedules, locker rooms, and additional needs.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute year-round team operations and travel.

  • Assist with organization for official and unofficial recruiting visits.

  • Assist with planning and execution of team events, including the team banquet, Senior Day, Alumni Day, and other special events.

  • Manage Teamworks calendars for coaches and team operations.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

If filled as Athletic Operations Specialist - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as Athletic Operations Specialist - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

 

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

 

 

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $81,500.00.
