Griffin Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing program and help advance our mission of recovery. The DON is responsible for the overall administration of nursing services at Griffin Memorial Hospital, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and the highest quality of patient care. This role oversees nursing operations across all areas of the hospital, including determining appropriate staffing levels and clinical needs. As a senior leader, the DON plays an active role in hospital decision-making and strategic planning.
Job Type/Salary
Annual Salary: $125,000 ($60.10/hour)
Full-time
Primary Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a valid permanent Oklahoma RN license (as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing) or a multistate RN license recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). In addition, candidates must meet one of the following experience/education pathways:
RN license plus seven years of professional nursing experience, including:
Two years in a supervisory role
One year in a managerial, consultative, or educational role in a specialized program
Two years in an administrative capacity
Bachelor’s degree in nursing plus six years of professional nursing experience, including:
Two years in a supervisory role
One year in a managerial, consultative, or educational role in a specialized program
Two years in an administrative capacity
Master’s degree in nursing (or related field) plus five years of professional nursing experience, including:
Two years in a supervisory role
One year in a managerial, consultative, or educational role in a specialized program
Two years in an administrative capacity
Preferred Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or business administration
Special Requirements
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
May require moderately heavy lifting or other physical tasks
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, well-being, and belief in recovery

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
