PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direction to field team - fosters a planning discipline within the Marketing function:
- Collaborates with Divisions on the application of media and creative best practices to their business.
- Monitors all media orders and subsequent performance.
- Facilitates annual media planning and quarterly media performance reviews between Divisions and home office team.
- Drives consistent application of tools and processes to maximize productivity across Divisions.
Solutions Facilitation – works cross-functionally to leverage corporate resources on behalf of field marketing needs:
- Conducts coaching on root-cause analysis to derive actionable insights.
- Uses diagnostic framework to recommend action steps that address community- and market-specific problems.
- Provides thought leadership and applies experience to help Divisions meet or exceed their goals.
- Establishes processes to overcome shared issues.
- Exploits full capabilities of PulteGroup systems and tools.
Content Creation – creates, maintains, and evolves centralized tools & material for use by all Divisions:
- Deploys/manages common templates to ensure that each Division has a well thought-out, detailed, attainable annual plan tied to key objectives.
- Maintains discipline of performance measurement using common tracking and reporting.
- Provides Playbooks for common marketing needs (e.g. community or brand launch, Del Webb programs)
Field Input to Home Office SMEs - maintains line of sight into field use of systems, messaging, tools, programs, and processes.
- Delivers feedback to ensure that home office solutions are focused on field needs so that maximum leverage is achieved.
- Helps corporate team prioritize limited resources on highest order benefits.
- Provides visibility to monthly division performance with contextual layering for Senior Leadership.
Time Spent On/With Local Team Members – takes a hands-on approach to enhancing the skills and productivity of each team member:
- Conducts in-market visits with each Division a minimum of two times annually.
- Responsible for Annual Marketing Summit Meetings.
- Leads monthly National and Area call with extended marketing team.
- Establishes regular calls with each Division marketing team direct report.
- Identifies needs of each Division and provides talent assessment and solutions.
- Working closely with Division leadership, establishes attainable performance objectives and holds team members accountable for results.
- Provides coaching on skill and behavioral development.
- Conducts onboarding training for new team members to expedite their contribution to the business.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensures appropriate staffing to meet needs.
- Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent.
- Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance.
- Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities.
- Creates opportunities for employee growth.
- Provides continuous coaching regarding functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors).

REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years Marketing experience
- Time in position: Minimum of 2 years at a management level
- Ability to shift between strategic initiatives and tactical responsibilities
- Demonstrated deep understanding of the role of paid, owned and earned media channels to effectively message across a mix of media types.
- Experience establishing and managing to a budget
- Superior problem solving, data collection and analysis skills
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Capable of confidently presenting and interacting with high level Home Office, Area and Division Leadership with strong ability to talk off script as it relates to marketing’s role in addressing business issues.
- Strong Project management skills
- Team oriented with ability to motivate others
- Possess working knowledge of required PulteGroup marketing systems
- Ability to lead change in a continuous improvement environment
- Thinks with scalability in mind so that ideas can be used or adapted in different markets
