Summary of Job:

The Director of Learning & Development is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the organization’s learning and development strategy. This role will drive the creation and implementation of innovative, scalable learning programs that support the company’s growth objectives, enhance talent management, and foster a culture of continuous learning. This position will collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels, lead a high-performing L&D team, and leverage data-driven insights to align learning initiatives with business needs and strategic goals.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or Organizational Development, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, multi-site organization is essential. Experience in industries that rely on a skilled trade workforce is a plus.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing large-scale, strategic L&D initiatives, including leadership development, technical skills training, and succession planning.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems and familiarity with emerging learning technologies and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives related to learning and development, with a focus on driving cultural shifts and adopting new learning practices.
  • Experience managing L&D budgets, analyzing ROI, and making data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation.

  • Strong ability to work with leadership at all levels and lead cross-functional teams to integrate L&D initiatives with business strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and advocate for L&D initiatives effectively.
  • Ability to lead change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.
  • Proven capability to lead and inspire L&D teams, driving performance and alignment with company vision.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term L&D strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Expertise in integrating cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches into learning solutions.
  • Experience in managing L&D programs across various locations or regional offices.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data and assessment tools to identify skills gaps and design effective training interventions.
  • Experience in managing L&D budgets and making strategic resource allocation decisions.
