Job Summary

The Director, IT Delivery & Program Execution, is responsible for ensuring the effective execution, stability, and operational performance of technology delivery across the organization. This role operates horizontally across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Business teams to drive alignment, manage cross-team dependencies, and resolve complex delivery challenges. This role serves as the primary buffer and integration layer between Agile solution delivery teams and enterprise risk functions, including Business Controls.

This leader ensures that delivery commitments, operational health, and risk obligations are balanced and executed in a coordinated and scalable way. The role provides structure, visibility, and accountability for work that spans multiple teams and does not sit cleanly within a single function. In addition, this role serves as the incident commander for major, enterprise-impacting events, leading cross-functional response efforts and ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and continuous improvement. The role includes direct people leadership, supporting delivery risk and/or incident management execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central leader accountable for the coordination, execution, and operational effectiveness of technology delivery across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations, driving alignment and resolving cross-team dependencies and challenges

  • Act as a program-level leader (“quarterback”) for complex, cross-functional initiatives, including control break remediation and other enterprise technology efforts, ensuring clear ownership, structured execution, and timely delivery of outcomes

  • Direct prioritization and trade-off decisions to balance delivery commitments, operational stability, and risk obligations, ensuring forward progress on critical initiatives

  • Operate as a hands-on, player-coach, stepping in to lead critical workstreams, drive remediation efforts, facilitate alignment, and develop key deliverables including executive updates, action plans, and operational improvements

  • Engage as incident lead for major, enterprise-impacting incidents that require cross-team coordination beyond standard support processes, providing structure, decision-making clarity, and executive-level communication

    • Partner with Technology Support and Infrastructure teams, who retain ownership of incident management processes and lower-severity incidents

    • Ensure effective coordination across Product, Engineering, Operations, Vendors, and Business stakeholders during high-complexity events

  • Lead post-incident reviews for major events and ensure follow-through on corrective actions, driving measurable improvements in stability and cross-team response effectiveness

  • Coordinate the intake, prioritization, and execution of delivery-related risk and control work, ensuring alignment with delivery plans and sustainable implementation

  • Identify systemic issues, recurring delivery friction, and operational inefficiencies, driving continuous improvement and providing visibility into delivery health, risks, and performance trends

  • Establish effective operating rhythms for cross-team alignment, escalation, and decision-making, while building strong partnerships across Technology, Product, Operations, and Business stakeholders

  • Lead and develop a team supporting delivery coordination, incident engagement, and operational execution, ensuring clear ownership and scalable processes

Education, Knowledge & Experience

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred.

  • 8-10 years of experience in technology delivery, IT operations, incident management, program management, or related leadership roles within complex, enterprise environments

  • Proven experience leading major, cross-team, enterprise-impacting technology incidents, particularly those requiring coordination across multiple functions beyond standard support processes

  • Experience operating in highly regulated environments, with an understanding of control frameworks, audit expectations, and risk management practices

  • Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives or programs, including dependency management, prioritization, and delivery coordination

  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments and partnering effectively with Product and Engineering teams

  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution and outcomes across multiple teams and domains without direct authority

  • Demonstrated experience in people leadership, encompassing direct management responsibilities and team development.

  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure and in high-visibility situations
