Role and Responsibilities

The Director of Indirect Verizon Sales will lead and focus exclusively on a $1b+ indirect sales channels to drive revenue growth, optimize channel performance, and ensure alignment with Verizon's strategic objectives. This role will oversee key account relationships, sales program development, and channel operations to maximize market penetration and customer satisfaction. The Director will also supervise and guide the individuals responsible for executing these responsibilities.

  • Drive sales growth and increased market share for Verizon by developing leadership plans and strategies that drive results and attainment of stretch objectives..
  • Partner with customer partners to capture and assess critical Voice of the Customer (VOC) inputs related to Verizon products and go-to-market strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, product development, finance and operations to achieve sales objectives through the development of sales strategies, product introduction plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Lead an Indirect sales team to achieve the best and most profitable product sales opportunities in the North American market. Ensure that financial resources and performance-based incentives are used to optimize increased revenue, maximize sell-out, and achieve profitable results.
  • Develop strategies for Indirect Sales channels and identify results to be achieved within indirect partner business. Identify and develop new business opportunities and business relationships to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Verizon Indirect Leadership to develop profitable business opportunities and product developments, increasing market share.
  • Spearhead the recruitment, motivation, development, and retention of professionals who can deliver sustained (profitable) revenue growth. Instill a culture of accountability, empowerment, performance-based management, teamwork, and other best practices to achieve organizational goals.
  • Leverage market and internal analytics to develop a go-to-market strategy in support of Verizon objectives, including account and product line-specific programs.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in sales, channel management, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through indirect sales channels.
  • 8+ years of Sales Strategy, Operations, and Management with direct Carrier Customer Management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact at the executive and all levels within customers' organizations and within the SEA organization.   
  • The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, VPs, directors & managers, staff, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. 
  • Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical skills, management, and operational experience. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in managing key accounts and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of Verizon products, services, and market dynamics is a plus.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $170,000 and $200,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
