About the location:

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.

About the role
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Director of Food & Beverage provides strategic leadership and overall direction for all food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, banquets and minibar. This role is a key member of the hotel leadership team and is responsible for driving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, operational excellence, cost control and the development of a high-performing Food & Beverage team, in alignment with Four Seasons standards.

What you will do

  • Lead and oversee all day-to-day Food & Beverage operations, ensuring consistent delivery of luxury service and exceptional product quality in every outlet and service area
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and outlet leaders on menu engineering, product selection, concept development and innovation to drive revenue and enhance the guest experience
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts and business plans while closely monitoring financial performance and implementing effective cost control and labor optimization strategies
  • Oversee banquet and event operations in collaboration with Catering and Conference Services to deliver seamless, high-quality events that meet both client expectations and profitability goals
  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations, HACCP standards, and internal brand and audit requirements
  • Recruit, train, mentor and retain a high-performing Food & Beverage management team and line employees, fostering a positive, inclusive and motivating work environment
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, provide ongoing coaching and feedback and develop succession plans within the division
  • Champion the Four Seasons service culture by maintaining high visibility in the operation and leading by example both with guests and employees
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, revenue enhancement and guest engagement across all Food & Beverage areas
  • Respond to guest feedback and ensure that all comments, concerns and opportunities are followed up in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Hotel/Resort Manager or General Manager

What you bring

  • Extensive Food & Beverage leadership experience in luxury hotels or resorts, with proven success overseeing multiple outlets and banqueting operations
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, revenue management and cost control
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • A hands-on, guest-focused approach and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Creative mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding culinary and beverage experiences
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Valid work permit/visa preferred but not mandatory

Our ideal Director of Food & Beverage candidate will have a true passion for excellence in service and product, a strong desire to develop people, and the ability to bring creativity, energy and a personal touch to every Food & Beverage experience. You should have at least five to seven years of experience in a variety of Food & Beverage management roles, with previous hotel opening experience considered a strong advantage.

Schedule & Hours
Permanent contract, full time (40 hours per week), with rotating shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
