Overview:
The Director of Financial Performance Management is a strategic executive responsible for designing and leading the bank's financial performance measurement and profitability framework. This role drives enterprise-wide financial transparency and analytical rigor, enabling senior leadership to make informed strategic and capital allocation decisions. The Director will lead the bank's funds transfer pricing, cost allocation and commercial loan pricing, translating complex financial concepts into actionable business intelligence across all lines of business.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Architecture
Architect and maintain the enterprise financial performance management framework, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory expectations
Lead the design and governance of funds transfer pricing, cost allocation, and pricing models that optimize profitability measurement and capital efficiency
Partner with CFO and executive leadership on financial performance strategy and long-term system roadmap
Influence pricing strategy and capital allocation decisions across the organization
Financial Performance Leadership
Own the development and integrity of enterprise profitability analytics and reporting to the Board, C-suite, and business leadership
Establish and maintain FTP methodology, rate structures, and governance processes that reflect market conditions and optimize net interest margin
Drive cost attribution frameworks that align costs with value creation and support strategic business decisions
Establish commercial loan pricing frameworks that incorporate true economic cost of credit, capital, and risk
Business Partnership & Analytics
Serve as strategic advisor to Treasury, Commercial Banking, and business unit leadership on profitability drivers and optimization opportunities
Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance financial transparency and performance measurement
Provide analytical insights that shape strategic decisions on pricing, market entry, and resource allocation
Qualifications:
10+ years in financial performance management, corporate finance, or treasury in banking/financial services
Deep expertise in funds transfer pricing (FTP) model design and implementation
Advanced knowledge of cost allocation methodologies and activity-based costing
Strong background in commercial loan pricing models and profitability analytics
Experience managing financial planning and analysis systems and data infrastructure
Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities; advanced proficiency in Excel
Proven ability to influence and partner with C-suite
Preferred:
Experience leading teams in financial performance management or corporate finance
Prior role managing FTP, cost allocation, or pricing systems and infrastructure
Background with enterprise financial performance platforms
Familiarity with data governance, BI tools, and data-driven decision-making environments
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
Professional designation (CFA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred
