Role Overview 

The Director of Engineering Business Operations is a senior leader responsible for defining and scaling enterprise operating models that enable consistent execution, operational excellence, and sustained growth across complex, multi-site engineering environments. This role partners closely with executive leadership to translate business strategy into actionable operational plans, ensuring alignment across quality, cost, performance, and risk management priorities. 

Key Responsibilities 

Enterprise Operations & Quality Leadership 

  • Define and lead enterprise-wide operations and quality strategies across multi-site environments, aligning execution with business objectives, customer expectations, and long-term growth priorities. 

  • Strengthen governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks to ensure operational integrity, mitigate risk, and maintain alignment with internal standards and external regulations. 

Transformation & Operational Excellence 

  • Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives that improve operational performance, quality outcomes, and cost efficiency through data-driven insights and scalable process design. 

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and structured problem-solving to enhance customer satisfaction and business results. 

Operating Model & Organizational Enablement 

  • Design and implement operating models and organizational capabilities that enable rapid scaling, improved decision velocity, and consistent execution across functions and geographies. 

  • Establish clear ownership models, decision frameworks, and operating rhythms to drive accountability and execution discipline. 

 

Performance Management & Insights 

  • Establish executive-level performance frameworks and dashboards that provide visibility into key metrics, risks, and opportunities. 

  • Translate operational data into insights that inform strategic decision-making and guide leadership priorities. 

Executive Partnership & Strategy Execution 

  • Partner with senior and executive leadership to shape and execute business strategy, converting operational insights into actionable plans that drive growth, resilience, and competitive advantage. 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, bringing a systems-level perspective to complex operational and organizational challenges.

Required Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering operations, business operations, enterprise transformation, or operational leadership roles within complex, multi-site, technology‑driven organizations. 

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across functions and levels. 

  • Demonstrated success in building scalable operating models, performance frameworks, and governance structures. 

  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable direction. 

 

 

Expected Salary Range

$166,500.00 - $290,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
