The Director of End User Computing (also known as End User Experience) is responsible for the strategy, design, delivery, security, and continuous improvement of all end-user technologies across the organization. This role ensures employees have a secure, reliable, and intuitive digital workplace that maximizes productivity and collaboration while meeting enterprise security and compliance standards.

This position owns the full lifecycle of end user devices and services—including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, collaboration platforms, conference room technologies and printing—as well as Microsoft 365.

The Director partners closely with Information Security, Infrastructure, HR, Facilities, and both IT and Business leaders to deliver a consistent, modern end user experience across all locations.

Job Description:

End User Experience Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the enterprise End User Computing (EUC) and End User Experience strategy aligned with business objectives and security requirements.
  • Lead and mentor EUC teams, vendors, and managed service providers responsible for end‑user technologies.
  • Establish standards, roadmaps, policies, and lifecycle management practices for all end‑user devices and services.
  • Act as a senior stakeholder and advocate for employee experience across technology platforms.

Desktop & Laptop Management

  • Own the architecture, design, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of all corporate desktops and laptops across Windows and Mac OS.
  • Ensure standardized builds, hardware refresh cycles, asset management, and secure device configurations.
  • Oversee endpoint management platforms and processes, including software distribution, monitoring, and remote support.
  • Ensure routine monthly patching and vulnerability remediation for all endpoints in alignment with security policies.

Endpoint Security & Compliance

  • Partner with Information Security to implement and maintain endpoint security controls, including hardening standards, encryption, endpoint protection, and compliance monitoring.
  • Ensure endpoints meet regulatory, audit, and internal security requirements.
  • Lead response and remediation efforts related to endpoint security incidents and vulnerabilities.

Microsoft 365 Platform Ownership

  • Own the strategy, configuration, governance, and adoption of Microsoft 365 services, including identity, productivity, and collaboration tools.
  • Establish governance models, security controls, and lifecycle management for M365 services.
  • Drive user adoption, training, and continuous improvement of the M365 platform to enhance productivity.

Mobility Program

  • Own the enterprise mobility program, including iPad and iPhone lifecycle management.
  • Manage Jamf as the primary mobile device management (MDM) platform, including configuration, security policies, app deployment, and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure secure access to corporate resources from mobile devices while maintaining a positive user experience.
  • Manage our cellular carriers – device deployment, cost optimization, billing and vendor management.

Collaboration Tools & Conference Rooms

  • Own and manage collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and ongoing support of conference room technologies across all locations.
  • Ensure seamless, reliable meeting experiences with standardized room designs, hardware, and support models.

Printing Infrastructure

  • Own enterprise printing strategy and operations across all locations.
  • Lead deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of PaperCut across all devices and sites.
  • Drive cost optimization, security, and sustainability initiatives related to printing services.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with significant leadership in End User Computing, Digital Workplace, or End User Experience.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise desktop, laptop, and mobile environments at scale.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, the Microsoft suite of tools for endpoint management, and patching strategies.
  • Hands‑on experience with Jamf and Apple device management (iOS/iPadOS).
  • Experience managing collaboration platforms (Teams, Zoom) and conference room technologies.
  • Experience deploying and managing enterprise printing solutions, including PaperCut.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Information Security on endpoint and user‑focused security initiatives.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, modern endpoint security models, and device compliance frameworks.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams and environments.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Apple, ITIL, CISSP, or similar).

The expected pay range for this role is $124,000 - $189,000. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
