As the Director of Communications, you will drive Bankrate’s external communications strategy and elevate our presence across financial media, consumer news, and the broader fintech landscape. You will own day-to-day PR strategy, media relations, thought leadership programs, and external messaging — ensuring Bankrate consistently shows up as a trusted, authoritative voice in personal finance.
In this role, you’ll lead and develop a multidisciplinary communications team spanning PR strategy, media operations, production editing, on-camera subject matter experts, and content-driven communications. You will partner closely with brand, editorial, legal, and senior leadership to ensure cohesive narratives, strong spokesperson performance, and high-impact earned media coverage. This is a highly collaborative, highly visible role designed for a communications leader who is both strategic and hands-on, and who thrives in fast-moving, news-driven environments.
*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
*New York City (hybrid) Total Cash Compensation Range: $175,000 – $250,000 per year
