The Opportunity
 
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations, the Director of Care (DoC) is responsible for the overall operational and clinical leadership of the 2nd Floor Seniors Long Term Care Program, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care in alignment with Carewest’s strategic priorities.
 
This role provides oversight of day-to-day operations, resource management, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary team performance to enhance service delivery and client outcomes. The role oversees all clinical and clerical positions including Recreation Therapy Department for Colonel Belcher and is accountable for driving positive change, staff engagement, and operational efficiencies while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a health related field required, preferably in Nursing.
- Current registration with CARNA or appropriate professional licensing college.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant clinical experience required.
- Experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity preferred.
