We are looking for a Director of Campus, Asia to join our Asia Talent Acquisition team. Our mission is to source, attract, assess, and hire high‑quality talent to support our business goals. We partner with hiring leaders across Asia to lead hiring initiatives and to develop sourcing strategies and employer branding practices that elevate Manulife’s position as an employer of choice.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for setting strategic direction and implementing effective, creative, and result-driven strategies for our Early Talent Recruitment initiatives across Asia.
As the Director of Campus, Asia, you will have a high‑profile, hands‑on role that directly shapes Manulife’s early‑career talent brand. You will drive the annual campus recruitment strategy for Internship, Co‑Op, and New Graduate programs across the region. You will also collaborate closely with the Global Early Talent team to ensure alignment with global priorities and support the successful execution of enterprise‑wide early‑career initiatives. You will serve as the central point of contact for Manulife’s university recruiting efforts, focusing on building and maintaining impactful relationships with universities and key academic partners.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop a regional university relations strategy that delivers a best‑in‑class candidate experience and strengthens our early‑career talent pipeline
Lead the execution of early talent recruitment strategies to achieve hiring targets across Asia
Work closely with local Talent Acquisition teams to ensure effective execution of local hiring strategies
Continuously evaluate and enhance programs to increase the attraction and retention of diverse early‑career talent
Build and maintain relationships with university leaders, faculty, career centers, and student organizations, including those supporting diverse student communities
Create and track key metrics, performance indicators, and ROI for campus recruitment strategy and initiatives
Oversee the planning and execution of candidate engagement events and activities—such as campus talks, career fairs, on‑campus interviews, and office visits
Assess existing campus programs and propose improvements to enhance their effectiveness
Manage the overall campus recruiting budget, including event spend and vendor partnerships
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition/Early Talent experience across Asia
4+ years of leadership experience within Campus / Early Talent recruitment
Deep understanding of recruitment practices and strong knowledge of the Asia market
Strategic thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
Confidence in presenting to senior leadership and external partners
Strong ability to develop, measure, and report on program objectives and key results
Knowledge of recruiting technologies and emerging trends in university hiring
Strong project and program management capabilities
BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience
