About the Role

The role will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure and cost-effective Function application architecture and engineering, Data and AI services. The is responsible for developing and maintaining roadmaps that align with enterprise strategy, mitigate risk, enhance sustainability, and enable business agility through modern technology platforms and practices.
Governing solution design to ensure alignment with roadmap.
Designing Data and AI framework and associated platform for business and IT usage, in alignment with Enterprise architecture.

Roles and Responsibilities

Architecture Governance & Design

  • Govern solution design to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, functional roadmaps, and standards (e.g., ADR, SDLC).

  • Design and maintain a scalable, modular application architecture that supports cross-functional needs and accelerates time-to-market.

  • Develop reusable architecture patterns and services to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and improve delivery speed.

  • Review all major application and infrastructure changes to ensure alignment with strategic roadmaps.

Technology Strategy & Roadmapping

  • Accountable to develop and maintain functional capability roadmaps in partnership with business and IT stakeholders.

  • Lead the design and evolution of Group Application Cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.

  • Partner with business units to understand needs, optimize solutions, and support business case development through pricing models and architecture input.

Data and AI - Platform & Framework Management

  • Oversee data, AI platform governance, ensuring compliance, performance, and cost optimization.

  • Lead the development and governance of data models and data platform design.

  • Lead development and governance of AI frameworks, policies and monitoring strategies in partnership with Info Security, Tech Risk, Cloud Operations and Enterprise Architecture team.

  • Monitor performance and cost of data, AI  and application platforms, taking proactive actions to minimize production impact in collaboration with the BAI team.

Solution Onboarding & Vendor Management

  • Manage platform vendor relationships, influence product roadmaps, and oversee incident resolution and SLA compliance.

  • Monitor performance and cost of applications and suggest initiatives and actions to improve performance and cost of operations

Minimum Job Requirement

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields

  • 15+ years of experience in IT roles with minimum 7 years in leadership role overseeing enterprise applications or architecture

  • Proven ability to govern solution design and maintain scalable, modular enterprise architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure design, governance, and cost optimization.

  • Strong background in data modeling, platform performance monitoring, and data governance.

  • Experience developing functional capability roadmaps and aligning them with business strategy.

  • Demonstrated success in onboarding enterprise platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Aladdin) and managing RFPs.

  • Skilled in managing vendor relationships, influencing product roadmaps, and ensuring SLA compliance.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.

  • Familiarity with ADR, SDLC, and regulatory frameworks related to data privacy and IT risk.
