SUMMARY

The Director, North America Facilities oversees all US based Covetrus locations. This includes offices, distribution centers, call centers and off-site storage. Facilities management includes oversight of all facilities related operations such as janitorial, engineering, food & beverage, and repairs & maintenance.

In addition, this position will act as the Project Manager for all facilities related projects included construction, remodel, design, relocations, etc. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. Work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage and partner with Site Leaders and/or Office Managers providing leadership and knowledge to sustain consistencies across the NA office portfolio.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for each location.
  • Provide customer service metrics to Site Leads to ensure excellence in workplace services.
  • Coordinate internal resources (IT & HR) and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
  • Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area within the company.
  • Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Proven ability to execute functional business plans and contribute to the development of functional goals.
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Budget management experience and proven ability to drive decisions guided by functional strategies and priorities.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
