Job Description:
Join Sun Life Global Investments as Director of National Accounts, where you'll lead strategic relationships with a select group of premier Full-Service Brokerage (FSB) dealers, Family Offices, and Private Investment Counsel (PIC) firms. In this impactful role, you'll drive retail sales growth, foster cross-functional collaboration, and deliver industry-leading service while building meaningful partnerships that drive mutual success.
What will you do?
Strategic Account Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans for assigned key accounts
Maintain deep industry knowledge of assigned FSB, Family Office, and PIC firms to identify growth opportunities
Build and implement strategic sales initiatives that maximize Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs, Private Markets, Segregated Funds, and Alternatives sales
Conduct regular strategic reviews with key accounts to monitor progress and refine strategies
Represent National Accounts' interests on cross-functional committees and initiatives
Sales Execution & Growth
Drive retail sales consistency across assigned accounts through effective relationship management
Increase mutual fund, ETF, SMAs, segregated fund approvals and recommendations on dealer platforms
Collaborate with Wealth Sales leaders to optimize sales effectiveness and identify growth opportunities
Coordinate with National Accounts teams across Sun Life Global Investments (Insurance, Institutional, Private Wealth) to ensure sales consistency and leverage business opportunities
Organizational Alignment & Continuous Improvement
Serve as liaison with internal product, marketing, and sub-advisory teams to ensure seamless collaboration
Identify and communicate challenges, opportunities, and solutions to support business growth
Share best practices across National Accounts to elevate performance
Support and implement change management initiatives across assigned accounts
Budget & Financial Planning
Manage assigned business development and travel budgets effectively
Partner with key account firms to optimize budget allocation and maximize ROI
What do you need to succeed?
Minimum 10 years of experience in investment business with a strong sales background in financial services
Demonstrated expertise with mutual funds, segregated funds, and alternative investments
Thorough knowledge of National Instruments, sales practice guidelines, and financial services regulations
Proven ability to develop and execute complex, multi-stakeholder strategies
Strong relationship management and influence skills with track record of achieving results through others
Excellent communication, presentation, and group facilitation abilities
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and decision-making capabilities
Change management and implementation experience
Results-oriented mindset with commitment to continuous professional development
The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
