The Director, Global Market Access – Distributor Markets is responsible for enabling effective market access and pricing execution across Genmab’s distributor-led geographies. This role focuses on translating global market access and pricing strategies into practical, scalable approaches for distributor markets, ensuring consistent application of global pricing guidance and safeguarding pricing integrity across diverse environments. Working in close partnership with Global Market Access Product Leads, this role ensures that distributor market considerations are reflected in global asset strategies, while enabling fit-for-purpose execution aligned with local market realities. This position reports to the VP, Global Market Access and Pricing.

Work arrangement: This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.

 

Responsibilities

Strategy Implementation & Market Adaptation

  • Translate global access strategies into practical, executable approaches for distributor markets
  • Adapt strategies to local payer environments and distributor capabilities
  • Support prioritization of distributor markets in alignment with Product Leads and Commercial teams
  • Ensure distributor market insights inform global planning

 

Partnership with Global Market Access Product Leads

  • Act as the key access partner to Product Leads for distributor markets
  • Ensure effective implementation and adaptation of global strategies
  • Provide insights from distributor markets to inform strategy refinement
  • Ensure consistent application of global pricing and value positioning

 

Pricing & Access Execution and Governance

  • Apply global pricing strategies and guidance across distributor markets
  • Support implementation of pricing guardrails and governance frameworks
  • Ensure compliant and consistent pricing execution
  • Identify and manage risks related to IRP, parallel trade, and price spillover
  • Partner with Global Pricing, Finance, and Commercial to support aligned decisions

 

 

Distributor & Partner Enablement

  • Support distributors on pricing, reimbursement, and tender strategies
  • Provide fit-for-purpose tools and guidance
  • Act as key contact for market access topics with distributor partners

 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Leads and Global Teams to align strategy and execution
  • Collaborate with Regional/Commercial teams on market entry and execution
  • Ensure appropriate governance with Legal, Compliance, and Alliance Management
  • Provide input into business development where relevant

 

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Track KPIs (e.g., access timelines, price achievement, coverage)
  • Identify opportunities to improve execution across markets
  • Drive sharing of best practices and continuous improvement

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required: an Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, Business, or related field is preferred
  • 10+ years in pharma/biotech with strong focus on market access, pricing, or HEOR
  • Experience across international markets
  • Proven experience in pricing execution and access implementation
  • Experience working in matrixed global organizations
  • Hands-on experience with distributor- or partner-led commercial models

 

Capabilities & Skills

  • Strong understanding of payer systems and reimbursement pathways
  • Experience applying global pricing strategies and managing execution
  • Knowledge of IRP, pricing corridors, and spillover risks
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical solutions in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$196,400.00---$294,600.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
