The Raytheon Manufacturing Operations Surveillance portfolio is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to oversee our McKinney Advanced Product Center (APC) manufacturing operations. McKinney APC is a fast paced and vibrant factory that builds, integrates, and test state of the art RF microelectronics across. The APC accounts for +$700M in annual sales with 400+ employees. 

This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in operational excellence and team leadership. The successful candidate will ensure that the site meets its operational goals, maintains high standards of quality and safety, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in factory operations with experience leading in a matrixed environment. The successful candidate will lead manufacturing operations to define manufacturing strategies that align with win strategies that result in execution successes. This individual will leverage strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills and must have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams as well as with senior management. A thorough understanding of factory manufacturing/operations, proposal development, schedule development, Earned Value Management, procurement, and build processes are required. 

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership, management and direction of matrixed functional organizations and staff

  • Partner with Strategic Business Unit Leaders and Program Managers to develop program plans to meet program contract delivery requirements, drive profit margin and develop program bids and proposals to capture new business

  • Develop talent within the organization with regards to program execution, operational efficiency, and successful transition to production practices

  • Deploy Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) strategy throughout the organization to ensure a continuous improvement culture that aligns with our long range plans (LRP)

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience

  • Experience understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and utilizing system data (on systems such as PRISM/SAP) to mitigate constraints along the critical path.

  • Experience building Executive briefings; advanced in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

  • Experience using business and project management tools and procedures such as Proposals, Transition to Manufacturing, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Business and financial acumen, strong analytical and problem solving skills, reliability and sound judgment

  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing policies and procedures and/or experience with RF Subassemblies and RF Subsystems

  • Demonstrated experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and other Operational Excellence methodologies

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to storyline and prepare executive-level discussion documents with a demonstrated ability to influence different styles

  • Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
