Job Description:
We are seeking a Director – Linear Water/Wastewater Infrastructure to support the growth and development of our Water/Wastewater (W/WW) practice in Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Region (GTR). This leadership role will focus on driving technical excellence, strategic growth, and collaboration across teams to deliver innovative solutions for municipal W/WW projects and related infrastructure. With a proven track record of successful projects in the region since 1964, our team is composed of experts dedicated to solving complex challenges for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and familiarity with municipal clients in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This position offers flexibility to work from any of our offices in Southern Ontario.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and execute strategic objectives, including business development plans, delivery strategies, and milestone reviews.
- Provide technical expertise to expand the W/WW portfolio of clients and projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients, government agencies, and key stakeholders, implementing effective account management strategies.
- Enhance Parsons’ reputation in Southern Ontario by engaging with prospective clients and community organizations.
- Foster partnerships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, JV partners, and technology providers to drive business growth.
- Provide technical input to define project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and monitoring progress to meet targets.
- Oversee the establishment of key project documents, including the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan.
- Ensure project scope and client criteria are addressed across all engineering disciplines.
- Align project work with client business goals and objectives.
- Participate in decision-making meetings with clients and project teams, offering technical insights and recommendations.
- Promote technical and commercial excellence through the application of Quality Assurance processes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution, with professional engineering registration in Ontario.
- 20+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure, including both vertical and linear projects.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing successful business development strategies.
- Strong technical background with an entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix organization and across multidisciplinary teams.
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and stakeholder requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of highly qualified professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in specialized engineering and assessment software.
