Job Summary
The Director, Lead-to-Order Transformation will lead the modernization of global pricing and contracting operations, transforming them from manual processes into a strategic, data-driven, AI-enabled enterprise capability.
This role is responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end Lead-to-Order transformation roadmap, including pricing strategy, CPQ/quoting, contract lifecycle management, governance, and advanced analytics. The leader will drive improvements in margin realization, quote velocity, compliance, and sales productivity through scalable technology, data, and AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver the Lead-to-Order transformation roadmap, spanning operating model, governance, processes, systems, data, controls, and AI enablement
Lead global pricing and contractual transformation, including Deal Desk, Bid Desk, and cross-functional alignment across Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, and IT
Establish and govern pricing policies, SOPs, approval frameworks, and escalation processes
Drive adoption of modern pricing and contracting capabilities across the enterprise
Oversee SOX-compliant controls, audit readiness, and operational governance across systems and processes
Lead technology enablement, including CPQ, pricing engines, and integrated platforms
Present transformation strategy, roadmap, and progress to senior leadership (SLT)
Manage budgets and ensure delivery against business outcomes and performance metrics
Required Experience & Capabilities
15+ years of experience across pricing, CPQ, deal desk, quote-to-cash, or commercial transformation
7+ years of leadership experience building and scaling high-performing, cross-functional teams
Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation programs across pricing, ERP/CRM, analytics, or AI
Strong business acumen with P&L ownership mindset, analytical rigor, and executive communication skills
Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, and Executive Leadership
Deep understanding of SOX controls, governance, and enterprise operating models
Technical & Functional Expertise
CPQ / Quoting Systems: SAP CPQ, Microsoft Dynamics, custom quoting platforms, pricing engines, CRM/ERP integrations
Cloud & Architecture: AWS (compute, data, and security services), API-first architecture, microservices, event-driven systems
AI & Automation: Experience with agentic AI, including RAG, embeddings, and AI-driven pricing use cases
Data & Analytics: Pricing analytics, elasticity modeling, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and ML-driven insights
DevSecOps: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, release governance, and secure deployment practices
Controls & Compliance: SOX 404, ITGC, audit readiness, and pricing-specific control frameworks
Preferred Background
Experience leading enterprise pricing transformation within global technology or SaaS organizations
Background in commercial excellence, pricing strategy, or revenue optimization
Exposure to AI-driven decisioning and automation in pricing or deal desk environments
Proven ability to operate in highly matrixed, global organizations and drive change at scale
Impact
This role will play a pivotal role in transforming pricing into a strategic lever for growth and profitability, enabling HP to scale data-driven, AI-powered commercial capabilities across the enterprise.
The pay range for this role is $174,050 to $278,450 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
