Primary Function

The Director - Retail & JV Marketing serves as a critical business partner to fully enable our Retail & JV originations businesses by setting priorities, developing robust marketing plans and strategies, partnering closely with originations leaders, and regularly sharing insights, best practices, and performance results to increase recapture through these channels.

Principal Duties:

  • Develop marketing strategy in close partnership with Retail & JV leadership team to drive originations. Ensure marketing strategy is aligned to CMO vision.
  • Lead the strategy development, tactical implementation, and execution of content driven programs/campaigns/initiatives across channels as appropriate.
  • Develop means to measure, assess and report on the effectiveness of the company's marketing strategy; develop KPIs and/or scorecards to quantify investments.
  • Identify requisite digital marketing tools needed to execute on Retail & JV marketing strategy.
  • Ensure existing technologies are maximized to the fullest and any and all added tools, features, tech have a clear benefit/ROI/measurable KPI and meet minimum adoption threshold. Maintains vendor relationships with existing marketing platforms (Amp, Bombbomb, etc.).
  • Collaborates with Retail & JV Support teams and manages all marketing efforts for Retail & JV Launches
  • Regularly provide Retail & JV leadership communication on marketing releases (new content, Retail & JV Rezhub updates, etc.)
  • Partner with extended marketing team to troubleshoot tech integration issues with API, third party integrations and automations.
  • Manage direct and matrixed resources required to meet defined deliverables; facilitate talent acquisition, coaching, mentorship, and performance management required to enable an effective team. Provide mentorship and sponsorship to the broader marketing team as needed.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Required education and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 8+ years marketing experience, with an emphasis on digital marketing.
  • Minimum 5 years in mortgage or financial services industry.
  • 2+ years previous people leadership experience required.

Required knowledge, skills, and ability.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; naturally distilling complex topics and workflows into clear goals and measurements of success.
  • Deep understanding of all facets of the mortgage business, enabling successful collaboration continuously between IT, Legal, Sales/Originations, Analytics, PMO, Legal, VMO, Marketing, and Executive Leadership team.
  • Strong working knowledge of social media and digital marketing with an emphasis on delivering quantifiable results from initiatives and projects.
  • Creative thinking: able to leverage that creativity to deliver against marketing deliverables and goals as well as creativity in problem solving/solutioning.
  • Solid project management skills with experience leading initiatives across a complex, distributed organization structure. Effective at leading and managing matrixed resources.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to quickly establish credibility, coupled with the ability to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
  • Client focused, coupling strategic focus with strong execution skills and a results orientation; able to link to business challenges and objectives with tactical execution and results.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to organize time and resources to bring initiatives to successful completion.
  • High degree of professional maturity, integrity, ability to maintain confidential data and information.
