The Director, Interoperability Data Platform leads the strategy and execution for Humana’s interoperability data platform. This leader is accountable for how interoperability data is ingested, implemented, structured, stored, governed, and fully utilized across the enterprise, including new data channels and diverse data types. The role focuses on building a scalable platform that not only houses data, but enables its practical use across products, workflows, operations, analytics, and enterprise priorities. You will report to the AVP, Interoperability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution for the interoperability data platform, including ingestion, implementation, storage, structure, governance, and ongoing scalability.
- Own end-to-end platform performance across data onboarding, operational readiness, platform reliability, and downstream usability.
- Ensure interoperability data is organized and managed for full utilization across structured, unstructured, and emerging data types.
- Drive implementation of new data channels from intake through production readiness, operational transition, and usable integration into enterprise workflows.
- Partner across product, channel, technology, operations, compliance, and business teams to ensure platform capabilities support real business use cases and measurable value.
- Oversee platform processes that support data intake, transformation, normalization, storage, retrieval, and downstream enablement.
- Ensure data in the platform is accessible, usable, governed, and aligned to enterprise needs across operational, product, reporting, and analytic use cases.
- Define and manage KPIs for platform performance, implementation success, data quality, usability, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and execution barriers early, and drive resolution across internal and external teams.
- Lead cross-functional execution for platform initiatives tied to new data sources, enterprise priorities, and interoperability enablement.
- Support vendor, partner, and internal technology relationships tied to platform capabilities, data utility, and delivery.
- Lead and develop a strong team across implementation, platform operations, and execution management.
- Continuously assess platform needs, enterprise demand, and new channel requirements to strengthen performance and increase the usable value of data over time.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, engineering, healthcare administration, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in data platforms, data operations, interoperability, healthcare technology, implementation, or related functions, ideally in healthcare
- Experience leading enterprise data platform capabilities, implementation work, or operational data environments
- Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data, platform operations, interoperability standards, healthcare data, and enterprise data management
- Proven ability to lead across business, operational, and technical teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Track record of driving execution in complex, cross-functional environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
- Experience working with national interoperability frameworks
- Experience leading large-scale data onboarding, platform expansion, or interoperability
- Familiarity with structured, unstructured, and emerging healthcare data standards
- Demonstrated executive experience enabling enterprise use of data
Additional Information
Location: Remote Nationwide (Louisville, KY preferred)
Work-At-Home Requirements:
- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$168,000 - $231,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
