SEI, a leading provider of institutional fiduciary management and OCIO solutions with more than $554 billion in assets under management worldwide, has an opening for a Regional Director of Institutional Sales. This individual will be responsible for selling SEI’s OCIO solution to Large Institutional Investors throughout the United States with a particular focus on Endowments and Foundations (E&F), including colleges and universities, independent foundations, and mission‑driven nonprofit institutions.
This position will report to the Head of the North American Institutional Team and be part of the North American Business Development Team.
What you’ll do:
› Develop new institutional relationships in the Endowment and Foundation Market
› Manage a territory with responsibility for lead generation, follow-up and management of sales activities from introduction to implementation
› Develop sales strategies and execute collaboratively with other experts on SEI’s Institutional Investor team
› Facilitate and promote teamwork efforts in the achievement of sales goals
› Become well versed on new products / services and other general information of interest to clients
› Maintain the sales contact management system on a continuing basis
What we need from you:
› A minimum of five years institutional asset management experience preferred, with direct experience serving Endowments and Foundations
› Prior sales and/or relationship management experience with demonstrated conceptual sales skills
› Extensive knowledge of the institutional marketplace and competitive advantages of a fiduciary management / OCIO solution, specifically as applied to the Endowment and Foundation landscape
› History of meeting with and articulating a value proposition to sophisticated investors, including investment committees, staff investment offices, and boards
› Demonstrated knowledge of the role OCIO search consultants play in institutional sales processes, including how they influence buyer behavior, evaluation criteria, timelines, and outcomes
› Prior experience participating in sales processes led by OCIO search consultants
› Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a consultative sales process
Attributes we value:
› Strong investment background desirable, including working knowledge of asset allocation principles as well as a solid understanding of public and private market investment opportunities commonly utilized by Endowments and Foundations
› A deep understanding of governance structures, investment committee dynamics, spending policies, and long‑term intergenerational objectives
› Robust understanding of SEI’s institutional solution; including SEI’s custom solutions by market and open architecture investment implementation
› Self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment
› Ability to work with in a team setting with multiple content experts
› High energy level, integrity and transparency
The base salary pay for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
This position will also be eligible to earn additional incentive compensation each year, subject to company approval.
