About the India IT Innovation Hub:

Edwards is building a new India IT Innovation Hub in Pune to expand our global technology capabilities and support innovation at scale. The Hub is designed as a technical delivery center, focused on building deep expertise in areas such as application development, data, cloud, automation, AI/ML, DevOps, global support and quality engineering.

India was selected after a global evaluation of multiple regions and consistently ranked highest for technical talent depth, scalability, and long‑term sustainability. Pune, specifically, offers strong STEM pipelines, a mature technology ecosystem, and close proximity to universities and major IT corridors. The India IT Innovation Hub works in close partnership with Edwards’ global IT teams and Business Service Centers (BSCs), adding technical capacity and extended‑hours collaboration while BSCs continue to own regional and customer‑facing support.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Director, IT to drive the strategy and operations of the Edwards’ India IT Innovation Hub in Pune. This onsite role is responsible for building and leading a high‑performing, customer‑centric technology organization that delivers secure, compliant, and high‑quality IT services in support of Edwards’ global digital transformation and patient‑focused mission.

As the senior onsite leader for the India IT Hub, the Director will provide site leadership across multiple IT functions and teams, partnering closely with global IT and business leaders to drive delivery excellence, engagement, and operational rigor. This role plays a key part in shaping the Edwards culture, engagement, governance, and operational excellence across the India IT Innovation Hub.

The Director will establish clear ways of working to support consistent, high‑quality delivery within a global, matrixed IT organization for a rapidly growing technology hub.

The Director will drive regional IT strategy for assigned functions and contribute regional insights to global IT and digital transformation initiatives, helping ensure alignment between enterprise priorities and local execution.

How you will make an impact:

India IT Hub Leadership & Operations

· Provide overall leadership for the India IT Hub, setting strategic direction and priorities in alignment with Edwards’ culture, values, and global IT objectives.

· Establish a strong governance and operating model that enables effective collaboration across global IT and business partners.

· Serve as the senior site leader, translating strategy into execution by building an engaged, high‑performing organization focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

· Oversee site operations, budget management, investment efficiency, communications, and business continuity planning.

· Represent Edwards externally within the local technology ecosystem, including universities, professional associations, and community partners.

· This role is onsite and includes full people management responsibility, including hiring, performance management, development, and termination decisions, in partnership with Human Resources.

Enterprise IT & People Leadership

· Lead a portfolio of enterprise IT capabilities delivered through the India IT Innovation Hub, partnering closely with global IT and business leaders across a matrixed IT organization.

· Build, develop, and retain high performing teams by setting clear expectations, driving talent strategy, and modeling strong leadership behaviors.

· Partner closely with HR and global IT leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

Technology Strategy & Business Enablement

· Serve as a key regional contributor to the development and execution of global IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives, bringing market, operational, and talent insights from the India IT Innovation Hub.

· Lead the strategic direction of reporting functions, driving consistency, transparency, and data-driven insights to support global governance and business outcomes.

· Provide thought leadership on technology direction, architecture, and investment planning across assigned portfolios.

· Ensure consistent delivery of secure, compliant, and scalable technology solutions that deliver measurable business value.

· Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders, leveraging deep technical and operational expertise.

Leadership & Working Style

What you will need (Required):

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 13+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles in shared services, global operations, or enterprise IT environments.

· Demonstrated track record of people leadership, including managing managers and building high‑performing teams.

· Experience working in global, matrixed organizations, partnering across regions and functions.

· Strong understanding of IT shared services and global delivery models, including governance, operations, and service optimization.

· Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English.

· Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field with 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles in shared services, global operations, or enterprise IT environments

· Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, life sciences, healthcare).

· Broad expertise across IT infrastructure, applications, cloud, data, security, and emerging technologies.

· Strong financial acumen, including IT budgeting, investment planning, and cost optimization.

· Demonstrated ability to apply current and emerging technology trends to future‑state enterprise strategies.
