Director I Sales Carelon - Northeast
Location: This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as their role requires, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. This approach ensures flexibility, responsiveness to client needs, and direct, hands-on engagement. Alternate locations may be considered. The ideal candidate will reside in the Northeast Region of the country.

The Director I Sales Carelon responsible for providing strategic and operational direction for outside sales team in various provider markets/verticals to drive customer relationships and referral base.
How you will make an impact:
Works closely with leadership to oversee the sales efforts.
Establishes relationships with functional areas within the company and partners with key stakeholders.
Leads and mentors sales team by developing key growth action strategies, tactics, and action plans.
Achieves projected regional sales targets and objectives as they pertain to overall business goals.
Achieves sales effectiveness by meeting or surpassing gross profit and referral goals.
Communicates information and issues regarding competitors and/or business to leadership.
Develops and executes sales meetings.
Assists in formulating market strategy to include marketing plans and materials.
Participates in and/or leads various training programs offered by the company and/or outside organizations.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 7 years experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Minimum of 5 years healthcare experience with a minimum 3 years in a leadership role strongly preferred.
Background in sales with emphasis on specialty pharmacy strongly preferred.
Excellent managerial and leadership skills strongly preferred.
Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and adaptability highly preferred.
Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
Experience in project execution, project management and process improvement strongly preferred.
Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred.
Proficient of Microsoft Office products Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word strongly preferred.
