The Director, HR Site Manufacturing will plan, lead, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff to ensure that all employee activities on site are carried out following the policies and procedures of the company.  The Director, HR Site Manufacturing, will be a member of the senior leadership team.  As a member of the site leadership team, the Director, HR Site Manufacturing will partner to support delivery of site objectives and strategies.  The Director, HR Site Manufacturing will also play a key role in establishing the Kyowa Kirin Culture at the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR leadership to the site including talent acquisition, talent management, day to day support for colleagues, provide constructive and timely performance evaluations, and address discipline if needed in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborates with Site leadership and Functional Leaders to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Develops and implements policies, processes, and training initiatives to support the policies and procedures, and strategy as needed.
  • Strategic advising and counsel as needed including but not limited to benefits, compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment partnering with HR COE’s such as Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Leadership Development and Total Reward.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Develops the workforce plan, aligns business needs to the departmental budget and other HR initiatives.
  • Ability to build and lead an HR team in the future based on needs of resourcing at the site.
  • Responsible and contributing member of the Site Leadership Team and shares ownership of site goals and performance
  • Ensures Colleague experience and engagement is maximized.
  • Coordinates site communications
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals to ensure high performance, engagement, and career growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of Human Resources experience with at least 5 years of HR management experience required in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of people management experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Results-oriented and able to navigate ambiguity.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work in an office and regulated manufacturing environment, including construction/start-up phases, with appropriate PPE. Reasonable accommodation will be provided as required by law.
  • This position is based on-site in Sanford, NC. Other standard company policies for flexible work arrangements do not apply to this role. This is not a hybrid or remote role.
  • Requires up to 20% domestic and international travel

The anticipated salary for this position will be $185,000 to $210,000.  The actual salary offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, education (including applicable licenses and certifications, job-based knowledge, location, and other business and organizational needs.
