Director, Head of Business Integration

Lead transformational change across the enterprise by providing strategic direction and leadership to large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs. This role is pivotal in driving overarching improvements to processes, operations, and teams, ensuring successful delivery of business objectives and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability

Transfer Agency (TA) Modernization is an enterprise-wide program aimed at replacing and retiring our current TA platform (VAST) and centralizing the associated operations. This role will be the linchpin in our ability to successfully go-live with our new platform with cross-enterprise visibility and responsibility. Working closely with IT partners, this individual will have accountability for:

· Comprehensive testing strategy and execution including end-to-end and production parallel, ensuring rigorous testing and confidence ahead of go-live

· Consumer/producer planning and integration, managing 80-90 product integrations across the enterprise to ensure all consumers of TA data are ready for go-live

· Go-live strategy and implementation, designing and implementing detailed plans to transition from current to future

The ideal candidate will:

· Thrive in ambiguity and relish bringing structure to complexity. The current systems and processes have been built over 30+ years making unraveling and preparing to transition from VAST an exciting, gnarly challenge.

· Bring product and program experience. Knowledge of product development is must. Experience within the transfer agency function, processes and current technology and/or broader Fund Ecosystem experiences are differentiators.

· Foster collaboration and accountability. In a fast-paced, cross-enterprise program an ability to balance understanding unique contexts and needs with driving critical outcomes is paramount.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

2. Manages multi-year, cross-divisional workstream independently as a program lead. Drives all phases of the program lifecycle from inception through implementation while ensuring that business objectives are delivered with high quality and within targeted timeframes.

3. Creates and maintains a multi-year workstream strategy that clearly identifies specific actions and tasks needed to achieve future state goals. Drives communication to many different audiences within Vanguard on the overall goals and outcomes of the program.

4. Builds and maintains strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners to support their program initiatives. Develops strong relationships with program leadership, sponsors, and workstream leads.

5. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Minimum ten years of related experience required. Five years’ experience in workforce planning, and/or operations management preferred.

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. MBA or graduate degree in operations or highly analytical fields preferred.

· Demonstrated leadership, team building and organizational skills. Strong leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills.

· Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
