What You Will Achieve:
In this role, you will:
Lead strategic direction, business performance, and financial management for complex activities within a Division or Global Business Unit
Manage people, technology, and financial resources, including those outside of direct authority, within a Division or Global Business Unit
Share knowledge across the Global Business Unit and establish systems for knowledge sharing
Foster continuous improvement and innovation in daily operations, encouraging acceptable risk-taking
Develop solutions to complex problems and hold accountability for decisions within the Division or Global Business Unit
Contribute to strategy development and execution, and manage talent and leadership development, including succession planning
Hold senior managers accountable for skill development and diversity, and lead resources to deliver on priorities
Set objectives and manage multiple high-complexity projects, leading scientists and reviewing experimental designs and data
Oversee planning, goal setting, and prioritization of novel drug programs, guiding experimentation in alignment with business unit strategy
Act as a primary scientific liaison with external partners, manage the vaccine/therapies group, and serve as a thought leader and spokesperson for Pfizer research
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s with at least 8 years of experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Demonstrated ability to manage a team of scientists and promote individual career development
Ability to independently design, plan, execute, and interpret experiments
Technical knowledge and hands-on experience with molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and protein engineering
People Management Experience.
Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) with over 7 years of experience
Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis
Experience in managing external partnerships and collaborations
Ability to influence and drive change across the organization
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to perform complex data analysis
Ability to focus on a topic for extended periods of time
