PURPOSE
A key role in the Corporate Compliance team of Group Compliance to partner with Group and relevant BU functions in relation to the implementation of Data Privacy programme, Statutory training and regulatory technology (RegTech) tools.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Privacy
Advise and provide guidance to Group and BU functions and key stakeholders on data privacy requirements to ensure compliance with our relevant obligations
Act as key person to drive maturity of privacy programme across the group through discussions with senior management and relevant stakeholders
Conduct and, or coordinate data privacy risk and control assessments
Conduct privacy knowledge sharing and training
Oversee and review data privacy assessments and monitoring work performed by local Compliance teams
Identify key data privacy, impact of control breakdowns and advising on remediation and enhancement to relevant key and senior stakeholders
Keep abreast of major data privacy regulations across the region and understanding how they apply to FWD operations
Statutory Training
Take a significant role in sharing knowledge and supporting development of group-wide statutory training and awareness campaigns
Oversee and monitor completion of mandatory training courses
Coordinate and assist local Bus with localisations of training modules
RegTech Implementation
Develop group-wide regtech tools, including but not limited to, lead, manage, and facilitate privacy and training-related system implementation/enhancement projects across the Bus to standardize minimum data privacy practices
Responsible for liaising, negotiating and securing senior leadership buy-in for any regtech implementation
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
8-10 years of experience in Compliance in Insurance
Tertiary education and relevant professional education
Experience in establishing, developing and managing privacy programme/frameworks
Good track record in privacy monitoring and reporting
Familiarity with regtech tools, systems and programs
Experienced in the ongoing monitoring and measurement of the effectiveness of compliance programs in privacy areas is mandatory for this role
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Solid privacy and training management and leadership experience
Good understanding of the Insurance regulatory environment for privacy across Asia.
Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Creative and able to simplify relevant regulatory guidelines and standards
