Department Overview:

The Group AI team owns Sky’s enterprise‑wide AI ambition, strategy and roadmap to deliver meaningful business value. The team works closely with senior stakeholders to embed AI into the fabric of how Sky operates, manages key external AI partnerships and ensures alignment with Comcast/NBCU.

The Role:

The Director Group AI leads the group‑level portfolio and operating model that accelerates applied AI across Sky. This role shapes enterprise standards, drives adoption, partners closely with senior leaders and ensures that AI initiatives deliver sustained commercial impact.

What you’ll do:

AI Portfolio Leadership

  • Own the enterprise AI portfolio, ensuring alignment to Sky’s strategic ambition and collaborating with the Transformation team
  • Lead portfolio intake, prioritisation and governance, ensuring the right initiatives are accelerated.

Agentic AI Operating Model

  • Drive adoption of agentic AI solutions to transform ways of working and unlock commercial advantage
  • Define enterprise frameworks, standards, guardrails and enablement models
  • Partner with Technology teams on platform design, infrastructure, tooling and vendor strategy.

Corporate Functions Partnering

  • Act as a strategic AI partner to Corporate Function Leadership Teams
  • Shape, challenge and guide AI plans, remove blockers and accelerate delivery and adoption.

Enterprise Alignment & Delivery

  • Partner with Sky Data to ensure business and data/AI roadmaps are fully aligned
  • Drive value realisation through business case methodology, prioritisation discipline and benefits tracking.

Leadership & Influence

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across Sky and external partners
  • Build and lead high‑performing teams that thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Strategy & Consulting Expertise

  • Significant experience solving complex, strategic business problems in a high‑performance environment, such as top‑tier global consulting or equivalent roles.

Corporate and Enterprise Exposure

  • Meaningful experience working within a complex corporate environment, navigating matrixed structures and influencing across diverse stakeholder groups.

Applied AI Experience

  • Exposure to AI in a strategic or applied context - whether via AI‑focused consulting engagements or driving AI adoption within across an organisation or at enterprise-level.
  • Understanding of AI value levers, operating models and organisational enablers.

Programme Leadership

  • Experience leading complex, cross‑business programmes that require coordination across multiple functions, stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Strong delivery instincts with the ability to bring structure, clarity and pace to ambiguous environments.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
