Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Value & Access Strategy HIV Treatment, our Director of GV&A HIV Execution – ICR midsize markets will:
Partner closely with ICR market teams to adapt and drive execution of GV&A strategies and launch plans to optimize access, reimbursement and uptake of HIV franchise products (both HIV Treatment and Prevention), aligned to local needs.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement awareness of unmet needs, HIV product value propositions and health economic tools to support HIV value demonstration and differentiation.
Lead the implementation of new capabilities, including Value Strategy & Realization (VS&R), tailored to local requirements and opportunities in collaboration with the GV&A triad and the GV&A Capabilities & Execution Lead. to ensure understanding of strategy, disease/product data, managing payer objections including negotiation skills for successful launch execution.
Support V&A stakeholder engagement plans across ICR market affiliates, develop engagement objectives and tools to monitor activities and KPIs.
Support payer research and insights generation (as needed) to understand HIV product value perception, V&A landscape trends, value drivers and test value messages.
Provide the ICR market regional perspective and champion local market’s needs into development of GV&A strategies and materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
We’re seeking a strategic, influential leader with the following:
At least 12+ years’ experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in market access-related activities with a Bachelors degree OR 10 + years’ experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in market access-related activities with a MS/MA degree OR 8 + years’ experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in market access-related activities with a PhD.
Experience in regional/country market access, launch planning and execution is required, experience within the ICR region is preferred although not required.
HIV disease area experience and market knowledge an advantage
Strong understanding of payer environment, including HTA, pricing and reimbursement, contracting and negotiation, and policy development
Experience developing V&A strategies and dossier submissions, including value messages, HEOR models and tools to support implementation in key markets
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across functions and levels in a matrix environment: skilled facilitator, communicator and strategic thinker
Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the objective
Curious with learning agility; Operationally excellent
We are pleased to share that Gilead’s Stockley Park and Holborn offices are planning to come together at a new London headquarters at 1 Triton Square, NW1, from approximately Q2 2027.
