Key Responsibilities 

In this role, you will support HIV pricing, reimbursement, and access across ICR markets. You will work closely with cross functional, commercial, medical, and country market access teams to deliver global value and access strategies and execute launch plans. The role focuses on the HIV franchise, including Treatment and PrEP, and offers broad exposure across the portfolio. You will represent ICR markets by bringing local insights into global strategy and resource planning, combining strategic input with hands-on execution. 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Value & Access Strategy HIV Treatment, our Director of GV&A HIV Execution  ICR midsize markets will: 

  • Partner closely with ICR market teams to adapt and drive execution of GV&A strategies and launch plans to optimize access, reimbursement and uptake of HIV franchise products (both HIV Treatment and Prevention), aligned to local needs. 

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement awareness of unmet needs, HIV product value propositions and health economic tools to support HIV value demonstration and differentiation. 

  • Lead the implementation of new capabilities, including Value Strategy & Realization (VS&R), tailored to local requirements and opportunities in collaboration with the GV&A triad and the GV&A Capabilities & Execution Lead. to ensure understanding of strategy, disease/product data, managing payer objections including negotiation skills for successful launch execution. 

  • Support V&A stakeholder engagement plans across ICR market affiliates, develop engagement objectives and tools to monitor activities and KPIs. 

  • Support payer research and insights generation (as needed) to understand HIV product value perception, V&A landscape trends, value drivers and test value messages.  

  • Provide the ICR market regional perspective and champion local market’s needs into development of GV&A strategies and materials. 

  • Experience in regional/country market access, launch planning and execution is required, experience within the ICR region is preferred although not required. 

  • HIV disease area experience and market knowledge an advantage 

  • Strong understanding of payer environment, including HTA, pricing and reimbursement, contracting and negotiation, and policy development  

  • Experience developing V&A strategies and dossier submissions, including value messages, HEOR models and tools to support implementation in key markets 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across functions and levels in a matrix environment: skilled facilitator, communicator and strategic thinker 

  • Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the objective 

                                                                                                         
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years' Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Ten Years' Experience

OR

PhD and Eight Years' Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regional/country market access, launch planning and execution is required, experience within the ICR region is preferred although not required. 

  • HIV disease area experience and market knowledge an advantage 

  • Strong understanding of payer environment, including HTA, pricing and reimbursement, contracting and negotiation, and policy development  

  • Experience developing V&A strategies and dossier submissions, including value messages, HEOR models and tools to support implementation in key markets 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across functions and levels in a matrix environment: skilled facilitator, communicator and strategic thinker 

  • Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the objective

The salary range for this position is: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
