Summary of Role
The Director, Global Tax Planning, will be a strategic leader responsible for managing global incentives & recoveries, Global Tax Operations Lead, and international planning & M&A tax integration hub.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead the communication, clear expectations, collaboration and compliance of incentives and recoveries spanning Germany, USA, Singapore and other geographies
• Leads global compliance team to fulfill necessary requirements for grant compliance and audits around grants, tax credits, and incentives across GlobalFoundries' global business activities.
• Manage global team to ensure SOX compliance across various international teams for IRCR and various tax processes
• Global tax operations lead manages insourced tax compliance, reporting, and advisory work, ensuring high-quality, standardized outputs from local insourced teams for international entities
• Lead tax process automation and align Insourced-based work across global tax leaders
• Assess the impact of new legislation, business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, accounting methods or pronouncements. Monitor federal, state, international and OECD legislative and statutory tax changes and evaluate the potential impact to the Company.
• Monitor, analyze, and advocate on tax legislative and regulatory developments
• Manage and coordinate with outside tax advisors to drive tax planning, structuring, and compliance agenda.
• Leads tax workstreams post-closing to ensure compliance, realize tax synergies, and align the acquired company’s tax profile with the acquirer.
• Serve as the tax point of contact for the Integration Management Office (IMO), providing status updates on tax synergy realization and functional integration progress.
• Motivate and lead a diverse, high performing team by attracting, developing, engaging,
and retaining team members.
Other Responsibilities:
· Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant tax and management experience
• Ideal background will be a blend of experience in public accounting and with a publicly
traded global corporation.
• Strong technical acumen.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
• Strong reputation as a builder and leader of a global tax function.
EDUCATION
• An undergraduate degree is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. CPA or CA
certification is required, active license is preferred.

Expected Salary Range
$152,000.00 - $266,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
