DirectorGlobal Strategy, Planning and Business Insights

The primary focus of this role is to offer strong leadership in the coordination and management of global strategic and annual business planning and performance management processes, with the aim of accomplishing top quartile growth for The Coca-Cola Company.

Success in this position depends upon the efficient synthesis of data and insights to effectively communicate and support:

  • Development and execution of strategic and annual business plans
  • Regular performance assessment through monthly and quarterly routines
  • Advancement of strategic projects and addressing key business questions

As part of the dynamic Corporate Financial Planning, Analysis, and Insights team, you will have the opportunity to influence senior leaders while contributing to the implementation of strategic initiatives. This role requires seamless collaboration with networked teams across Operating Units, Global Categories, Center, and Global functions.

What You’ll Do for Us:

Strategic Alignment and Business Leadership

  • Deeply internalize The Coca-Cola Company’s vision, mission, and long-term strategic goals to ensure all planning and performance initiatives align with the Enterprise’s priorities and growth objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering strategic insights and guidance to drive sustainable top-quartile business performance.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Collect, synthesize, and analyze complex data from internal and external sources to identify actionable trends, opportunities, and strategic risks. Translate these findings into impactful strategies and initiatives.
  • Build predictive and prescriptive models using advanced analytical techniques and tools to improve decision-making, optimize performance, and allocate resources effectively.

Collaborative Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with cross-functional teams across marketing, operations, finance, supply chain, etc., to align on business objectives, KPIs, and operational goals.
  • Facilitate the transparent sharing of insights, key findings, and established best practices across teams and geographies to ensure consistency in planning and execution.

Business, Market, and Financial Intelligence

  • Design, implement, and manage a sophisticated enterprise-wide business intelligence framework that integrates market, financial, and competitive data to empower informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Regularly produce and communicate high-quality reports, dashboards, and recommendations that highlight growth opportunities, address performance gaps, and enhance forecasting accuracy.

Enterprise Planning and Resource Allocation

  • Co-lead the strategic and annual business planning processes, ensuring alignment with TCCC’s ambition to deliver exceptional and sustainable growth.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Enterprise Resource Allocation (ERA) model to optimize planning and performance management.
  • Establish and sustain robust internal control mechanisms and systems to ensure data consistency, quality, and credibility across financial and operational reporting.

Industry and Competitive Monitoring

  • Conduct rigorous research and analysis of global industry trends, economic shifts, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities, innovation pathways, and market risks.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by continually monitoring best practices, macro-economic developments, and emerging insights to ensure TCCC retains a competitive edge on a global scale.

Knowledge Sharing and Resource Consolidation

  • Develop and maintain a centralized repository of key market intelligence, strategic insights, frameworks, and resources to promote company-wide access to critical information.
  • Ensure alignment of planning and performance efforts via dissemination of strategy-aligned tools such as playbooks, templates, and training materials across global teams.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Deliver high-impact, data-driven presentations, strategy documents, and playbooks to senior leadership, key stakeholders, and external audiences to enable informed business decisions.
  • Foster stakeholder trust and alignment by effectively presenting actionable insights through clear storytelling, visualizations, and ad hoc correspondence as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in Strategy Development / Planning, Strategic Finance or Commercial roles; a background in the CPG industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in advanced analytics and storytelling with data.
  • Resourcefulness in acquiring data and insights on external environment (macro, industry trends, etc.) and connecting them to business implications.
  • Excellent statistical reporting skills, both numerical and written.
  • Demonstrated project management competency.
  • Outstanding business problem-solving skills - ability to analyze and synthesize across multiple areas, such as finance, marketing, change management, supply chain, etc.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong synthesis capability, able to distill large amounts of data and information into actionable insights.

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
