Director, Global Prevenar Pediatric Vaccines

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting into the Global Prevenar Pediatrics Lead, the Global Prevenar Pediatric Commercial Director will be a core member of the global cross-functional team.  This role involves strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration to support the pediatric pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) business globally – potential peak revenues of $4B.  This position focuses on tender, pricing, and supply planning to maximize the franchise’s revenue potential and requires strong commercial insight and partnership skills.

The director will be the lead point of contact for GAV and PGS colleagues to support PCV13 and PCV20 tenders and optimal management of the franchise supply planning efforts.  The role will require the ability to provide strategic thought partnership to understand cross functional interdependencies related to global strategy, tenders, pricing and supply.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary Commercial point of contact for the GAV team on NIP, tender and pricing discussions ensuring alignment on key decision points

    • Provide commercial strategic input for upcoming tenders for ICO & EM including supply implications

    • Share commercial perspective on pricing and VANTAC case preparation to consider Global and franchise (PCV13/PCV20 and peds/adult) implications

    • Support global XFT optimization of tender and environment shaping activities

    • Lead and develop the Global Tender LDT to strengthen global strategy and provide advice to support future decision making

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the PGS team as the Commercial strategic thought partner ensuring alignment between commercial requirements and supply planning.

    • Represent Global Commercial on the PCV Product Team, sharing commercial insights and providing guidance on OP, LRVF and strategy

    • Prepare monthly demand reports/analytics for review with commercial colleagues to identify changing patterns leading to informed decisions on planned production

    • As necessary, represent Global Commercial in supply allocation initiatives as and when supply controls are required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing or commercial roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Strong strategic thinking, modeling and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Diverse leadership experience including in-market and above country/regional/global scope

  • Able to form excellent relationships with key global and local cross-functional partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead by influence and gain XFT alignment

  • Strong work ethic and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines

  • Innovative in identifying new opportunities and finding new ways to create value

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Global marketing/commercial experience

  • Vaccines experience; PCV experience a plus

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
