Director, Global Finance Training & Learning

About the Role
The Director, Global Finance Training & Learning exists to define and drive the global strategy for Finance Training and Learning across Lonza. Working closely with the Global Head of Corporate Accounting & External Reporting and senior Finance leaders, this role leads the Finance Training Academy and ensures its effectiveness, governance, and long‑term impact. The position shapes a strong learning culture within the Finance organization by defining global learning standards, concepts, and curricula, while actively supporting the vision and strategic priorities of the Finance Leadership Team.

Key Accountabilities
- Own and continuously evolve the global Finance learning strategy, standards, concepts, and curriculum to meet current and future capability needs across all Finance roles and Finance‑related activities at Lonza
- Drive execution and governance of the learning strategy, ensuring effectiveness, regulatory and financial compliance, and sustained cultural change toward learning excellence
- Define and maintain role‑based training frameworks, ensuring consistent delivery, appropriate training records, and the use of diverse and effective learning methodologies
- Monitor, assess, and improve training effectiveness through structured feedback, evaluation metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner closely with senior management and functional leaders to align learning priorities with business strategy and to identify, engage, and manage qualified trainers and subject matter experts
- Collaborate with Global Process Owners to design and deliver training programs that support process implementation, adoption, and ongoing compliance
- Work cross‑functionally with Learning & Development leaders across the organization to ensure a holistic approach to employee capability building beyond technical finance topics
- Embed a strong learning culture across the Finance organization and among all employees interacting with Finance processes
- Support Finance Leadership Team priorities through additional initiatives and responsibilities as required
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Extensive experience in Finance, Learning & Development, or Finance transformation roles
- Proven background working with senior stakeholders in complex, global, matrixed organizations

- Demonstrated ability to drive and lead change across a global Finance organization
