Are you a strategic and inventive Data Science professional along with extensive experience in managing and operating a larger team?
The Director - GCC SITO Operations will manage a larger team of 25+ individuals with strong data science and data engineering background with varied level of experience who develop and execute commercial analytics using AI/ML and data science that are fundamental in opportunity identification and prioritization, including customer targeting, segmentation, and behavioral analysis; marketing mix modeling/investment guidance; business performance drivers’ analysis, omni-channel orchestration / next best action set up and measurement of pilots and experiments.
This role requires a strategic, inquisitive mindset, technical experience in AI/ML methods, keen business acumen, and strong leadership and communication skills. Your role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including managing a large team and budgets, driving cultural integration, stakeholder and leadership communication, cross team collaboration, lead innovation, and bringing efficiency and standardization.
Responsibilities:
Team set up: Identify the resources needs, work with stakeholders for budget approval, lead recruitment process with the recruitment team, identifying the right candidate, grade mix, etc., and onboard.
Operations: Provide resources for ongoing business initiatives. Manage day-to-day operations including, but not limited to setting up team objectives, driving development programs and training, ensuring compliance and team utilization, managing team budget, updating score cards, etc.,
Project delivery: Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of insights and recommendations. Assign leads and mentors for junior data scientists. Mentor the team on performance and provide guidance on projects and methodology. Celebrating success, providing timely feedback, and action plans for improvements.
Collaborate: Work closely with Insights and Analytics Directors, other Data Science directors to understand team performance, improvement areas, resource needs, etc., Regular communication to Leadership team on the program progress, wins, challenges and drive mitigation plans.
Innovation: Lead the adoption and integration of cutting-edge tools, emerging technologies, AI/ML methods and applications on next best action, business analytics and broader omni-channel analytics to ensure they are fit for purpose within respective therapy areas.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and new methods across commercial analytics (patient, brand, sales, marketing and payer). Share the learning with stakeholders and broader team.

Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, health informatics, life sciences and related fields
At least 16+ years of experience in Data science / advanced analytics
At least 10+ years in managing and operating sizable teams
Highly organized and extensive experience in running day-to-day operations, resource identification, allocation and ensuring quality delivery from the team
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing larger teams with varied backgrounds and skills. Proactively identify risks and drive mitigation plans.
Strong background in data science, including experience with machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
Proactively identify areas for analysis, including the potential application of Gen AI and machine learning, and contribute to problem-solving
Experience in driving innovation and efficiency
Effective written and verbal communication skills to stakeholders and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong critical thinking skills to interpret data and generate insights. Eagerness to learn and apply new methods and techniques in analytics.
Experience in GenAI, Agentic AI, etc.,
Proficient in analytical tools and software such as Excel, R, SQL, Python, Power BI, and machine learning platforms
