**Travel to Office expectations**
For Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in-office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings.
For Hybrid Roles: If this role is Hybrid, there will be an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the office/location specified in the job listing. Position Summary:
The Director of FP&A is a strategic and operationally minded individual leading our planning, forecasting, and performance management processes. This role will partner closely with Vice President of FP&A and cross-functional leaders to drive financial rigor, optimize resource allocation, and support data-driven decision-making. In a SaaS environment, this leader will be required to have a good understanding of ARR/MRR reporting, customer economics, unit economics, and insights that inform growth, retention, and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in financial modelling and management of several complex FP&A cycles (budgeting, forecasting), as well as a focus on data, systems, and business insights. They will also have a proven track record of leveraging financial modelling and scenario analysis to identify underlying drivers of business growth, and of demonstrating the ability to effectively partner with business teams across Sales & Marketing, General & Administration and Product and Engineering in strategic analysis, KPI reporting and operational improvements. In addition, experience with long range forecasting is a plus.
Experience in designing and building presentations for senior/executive level business leaders and private equity investors is key to success. Ability to consolidate various financial data and present to those interested parties to help drive strategic direction and modifications where needed.
In addition, you will provide financial information, tools, analysis, and insights to help drive operational excellence and execution against business objectives. Through collaboration with team members throughout the business, this person will be asked to gain an understanding of the market, strategic objectives, and operational challenges. Using this understanding to design, implement and execute on integration, reporting and KPI initiatives, driving efficiency, accuracy and visibility into performance, trends, areas for development, and other meaningful metrics.
