Organizes, directs, and manages the area Supply Chain strategic operational planning process designed to maintain and improve the profitability and other operating parameters in Canada. Monitors Canada’s operating performance of the organization’s business segments and provides direction where improvement is necessary. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, controls, and monitors certain key expense accounts and staffing levels to ensure that the profit plan guidelines are maintained. Investigates significant variances from predetermined standards and budgets by contacting or visiting station locations, and recommends a course of action to resolve related issues.
- Ensures the constant and optimum utilization of resources within the country, including fleet, equipment, facilities, and employees.
- Maximize cost recovery related to fleet damage incidents, optimizing claims processes, and ensuring compliance with insurance, legal, and contractual requirements.
- Directs the activities of the supply chain management staff within Canada and ensures all are optimizing and operating day to day functions and meeting and exceeding their job requirements.
- Develops new policies that support operational and control procedures to promote the efficient completion of work and improve the utilization of fleet vehicles by reducing downtime and expenses.
- Promotes the maximum use of existing facilities by ensuring that all equipment is in working order and in compliance with provincial regulations. Recommends the purchase of new, more efficient equipment when necessary. Assists in the design of new facilities to support the efficient completion of work.
- Monitors the out-of-service accretion rate which reflects the number of vehicles placed out of service that day; directs to correct positive accretion rates to ensure that fleet vehicles will be available for service in the fleet.
- Oversees all automotive damage appraisals/repairs and all activities related to the mechanical repairs and maintenance of fleet vehicles to obtain maximum utilization of fleet and prevent operational delays.
- Reviews business plans, financial statements, productivity and efficiency reports, idle vehicle reports, and addresses any problems.
- Directs and oversees all special activities related to minimizing costs and maximizing the value of fleet vehicles, including (but not limited to): the submission of claims to recover the cost of repairs done to fleet vehicles, the reconditioning of fleet vehicles for sale or auction, and the purchase or sale of salvaged units and auto parts.
- Directs supply chain to ensure the timely performance of PDIs on new vehicles and makes sure recalls are locked and the appropriate fix is completed and reported in a timely manner.
Qualifications (may vary by level)
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business related major
- Minimum of 5 years management experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Effective management, communication, organizational, and creative problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting and control techniques.
- Knowledge of all phases of collision estimating and repair.
- Experience with fleet administration, maintenance, damage and repairs
- Excellent leadership and management skills. Must be able to provide direction and support to a large number of staff across multiple markets/locations.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills. Ability to interact with both external and internal customers at all levels. Ability to manage and motivate staff in a team environment.
- Detail oriented with strong aptitude for problem solving.
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills
- Strong analytical & computer skills, Excel & Word is a MUST
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
