JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Financial Strategy is a critical leadership role designed to bridge the gap between long-term enterprise strategy and functional financial planning. The role acts as a primary financial thought-partner aiding business leaders in developing the quantitative modeling, key assumptions, and financial rigor that underpin strategic planning. This role is highly collaborative, complementing and partnering closely with FP&A.
Dedicated to supporting internal financial strategy, this position aids in stress-testing financial models, standardizing business cases for major investments, and helping leaders break down long term growth rate targets into actionable categories. By acting as the financial anchor and advisor for the Strategy team, this role ensures all stakeholders can clearly delineate operational/organic growth from the impact of new strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Growth Target Modeling & Gap Analysis
- Collaborates with product line leaders to facilitate the financial breakdown of long term growth rate targets.
- Aids in modeling and isolating current run rates (BAU) and operational/organic growth factors (productivity, marketing efficiency, price increases).
- Partners with initiative owners to quantify the financial impact of existing strategic initiatives.
- Supports the Enterprise Strategy team in identifying financial gaps and evaluating the financial viability of new projects proposed to close those gaps.
- Business Case Development & Capital Allocation
- Acts as an internal consultant to business leaders, aiding in the financial modeling and business case development for major projects.
- Provides the financial framework and templates for investments across technology, real estate, sales, marketing, and the launch of new business lines.
- Facilitates consistent modeling assumptions across the enterprise, advising leaders on best practices so they are empowered to build defensible strategies.
- Strategic FP&A Partnership & Stress Testing
- Works hand-in-hand to support Finance in seamlessly translating the 3-Year Strategic Plan into the annual Operating Plans.
- Aids in stress-testing key financial assumptions and running scenario analyses on enterprise and divisional plans.
- Supports investment stage gates, helping ensure business line forecasts are prioritized, accurate, and aligned with strategic goals.
- Investment Prioritization & Scoring
- Advises on the financial metrics used in internal initiative prioritization (e.g., ROI, NPV, IRR) and assists in validating RICE Scores for Technology investments.
- Supports the Officer Team and CEO in the review and approval of investment roadmaps.
- Executive Communication & Reporting
- Helps translate complex financial models into clear, actionable insights for the C-suite and Board of Directors.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 8+years of experience in Corporate Development, Strategic Business Planning, complex FP&A, or Management Consulting.
- Proven experience advising business cases and evaluating large-scale internal investments.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree (MBA) or CFA/CPA designation.
- Previous experience transitioning high-level strategy frameworks into organic growth models, with a strong background in cross-functional business partnering.

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $190,750.00 - Mid: $238,437.00- Max: $286,124.00
